Node migrations are expensive when managed poorly. The risk isn’t just re-running P&R — it’s the infrastructure changes, IP re-qualification, and timing closure work that tend to surface unexpected cost.
We’ve migrated designs across multiple node generations at large semiconductor companies. We know where the surprises tend to be.
What we handle:
- Technology file migration and PDK setup for the new node
- IP availability assessment: which blocks have qualified versions, which need re-implementation
- DRC/LVS runset setup for the target process
- Floorplan re-evaluation and power grid migration
- Timing re-closure, including constraint updates for new cell libraries
- Physical verification sign-off at the new node
We can also scope just one phase — for example, if you need an independent assessment of migration risk before committing to the project internally.
